Resource Integrity

USD Green Flag LogoAt US Digital, we approach resource use with integrity—doing the right thing even when no one is watching. This principle guides how we reduce waste, conserve resources, and operate efficiently. Here are some of the ways we put that into practice.

  • 96% of employees participate in a 4-day work week, reducing commuting by 20% and lowering fuel use and emissions.
  • We support Washington’s Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program, encouraging alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle commuting to reduce congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Smart packaging program: reduced packing materials, increased recycled content, and bulk packaging to minimize waste.
Environmentally responsible way to process aluminum and oil.
Aluminum and oil recycling
  • We move beyond basic recycling of cardboard, paper, and metal by closing the loop in our machine shop. Aluminum shavings are compressed to reduce waste volume by 90% while recovering cutting oil. The oil is centrifuge-cleaned and returned to service, reducing new oil consumption by over 90%.
  • We prioritize responsible sourcing and waste reduction in daily operations, using biodegradable cleaning agents and durable, reusable materials in place of disposables.
  • Workplace amenities support sustainable supply chains, including locally sourced organic produce and Fair-Trade organic coffee.

  • Process water is de-mineralized and filtered so it can be reused repeatedly in our machining operations, significantly reducing water consumption and minimizing wastewater discharge.
  • We are also in the process of a major project to collect and store solar energy which will further reduce our energy consumption.

US Digital is committed to continuing to practice environmental responsibility. God has called every one of us to be good stewards of the environment. We work together to make the world a better place.
