Arduino Encoder Demos zip (READ ME file)
A collection of simple Arduino sketches demonstrating how to read three common encoder output types: incremental quadrature, analog absolute, and PWM absolute. Each demo includes an .ino sketch plus wiring notes, setup instructions, expected Serial Monitor output, and troubleshooting tips.
The quadrature demo reads A/B signals using interrupt pins and includes a reset/reference input that can be connected to a pushbutton, limit switch, home switch, or compatible encoder index signal. The analog and PWM demos show how to convert absolute encoder output into position code and shaft angle.
These examples are intended as starting points for learning, evaluation, and quick bench testing with Arduino UNO-family boards. Always confirm encoder supply voltage, output type, signal polarity, and input-voltage compatibility before wiring.
