Vancouver, WA - US Digital is proud to announce the release of two new quadrature clock converter chips, the LS7183 and LS7184.
The new LS7183 and LS7184 include many product improvements over the older LS7083 and LS7084. Improvements include enhanced output pulse width timing, the addition of X2 multiplication and a supply voltage range of 3.0 to 5.5 VDC.
When quadrature signals produced by optical encoders are applied to the A and B inputs of the LS7183 and LS7184, they are converted to Up Clocks and Down Clocks (LS7183) or to Clocks and Direction (LS7184). These outputs can be interfaced directly with standard Up/Down counters for direction and position sensing of the encoder. Encoder cycles per revolution may be multiplied by X1, X2 or X4 to provide selectable output pulse resolutions.
These new chips are also available in our HD25 Industrial Rugged Metal Optical Encoder and our PC6 Encoder to Counter Interface Board. For additional details and pricing information please see the HD25 and PC6 web pages.
The LS7183 and LS7184 chips are packaged in either 8 pin DIP or SOIC packages.
For additional details and pricing information please see the LS7183 and LS7184 web page.
