SEI Explorer software for SEI devices: A2, A2T, AD2-A, AD2-B, AD5, ED2 and HD25A.
The SEI Software Installation includes all the available software below in one setup application.
SEI Explorer is a software package that runs on Windows 2000/XP/Vista. This program gives the user a graphical, easy to understand window onto their SEI bus. It supports all SEI protocol devices including the A2, A2T, AD5, ED2 and HD25A. Upon start-up, SEI Explorer interrogates the SEI bus, and compiles a list of which devices are on the bus. If some of these devices have conflicting addresses, SEI Explorer automatically assigns new addresses to these devices. SEI Explorer then brings up an interface window for each device on the bus. These interface windows provide the user with an easy way to interact with each of the SEI devices. Information such as position or switch status is automatically updated several times per second and displayed graphically. Less frequently used information can be manually requested from the device by the user and control requests can be sent to the device using simple, pull-down menus. Also a data recording panel can be activated for each device to record the position and time to a text file. SEI Explorer now includes data recording functions.

To facilitate the process of integrating Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) of US Digital's Serial Encoder Interface (SEI) into LabVIEW 6.1 programs or Virtual Instruments (VIs), selected functions in SEIDrv32.DLL have been provided with their corresponding VIs. A demo VI is also provided. The demo VI allows users to read encoder counts from the A2, A2T, ED2, AD5 or HD25A attached to the SEI bus of the AD2-B.
