Vancouver, WA - US Digital is proud to announce the release of a new encoder tointerface product, the PCI-3E.

Our newest PCI interface card, the PCI-3E, is similar to the PCI-4E but differs by tracking up to 3 incremental encoders and includes a seperate I/O port capable of handling four digital inputs and four digital outputs.

Multiple cards can be used concurrently on the same PCI bus of a PC to obtain an additional number of channels. The PCI-3E provides fast, efficient encoder position counters for real-time data acquisition applications. An application running on a PC with a 1.8 GHz processor and Windows 2000 will store approximately 150,000 samples per second to a data array, each sample consisting of the four 24-bit encoder position counters and a 33 MHz time stamp.

The plug-and-play software automatically detects the existence of one or more PCI-3E cards on the PCI bus and assigns a unique device ID to each card. Demo software is included on the CD for Windows 2000/XP.

Two versions are available: the single-ended PCI-3E-S for TTL quadrature inputs, or the differential PCI-3E-D for RS-422 quadrature inputs.
They are available from stock, usually shipping on the same day that they are ordered.
