Introducing the H6 and HUBDISK Part Numbering

issue36_md2s_0.jpgVancouver, WA - US Digital is proud to announce the release of our newest optical shaft encoder, the H6.

The H6 shaft encoder is fully assembled with a shaft, two 1/4" ID by 1/2" OD heavy duty ball bearings and a mounting plate. The shaft of the H6 is either made of brass (polycarbonate version) or stainless steel (metal version) and feature either single-ended or differential output.

This non-contacting rotary to digital position feedback devices provide resolutions of 64 to 2500 CPR (256 to 10000 counts per revolution) and include a finger-latching polarized connector.

The H6 encoder converts real-time shaft angle, speed, and direction into TTL-compatible quadrature outputs with or without index from DC to 100kHz. They feature an unbreakable mylar disk, LED light source, monolithic electronics and single +5V operation.

The H6 is available from stock with little or no lead-time.

Available Versions:

  • Polycarbonate Single-ended (H6S)
  • Polycarbonate Differential (H6D)
  • Metal Single-ended (H6MS)
  • Metal Differential (H6MD)

Features:

  • Heavy duty ball bearings track up to 10,000 RPM
  • Low cost
  • Small size
  • Tracks from 0 to 100,000 cycles/sec
  • Single +5v supply

 Applications:

  • Closed loop servo feedback
  • Office automation
  • Velocity control
  • Robotics
  • Stepper motor position verification
