On a Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP Machine:
Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel. (for XP skip Settings)
Control Panel window will open.
Open Display icon. Display Properties window will open.
Select Settings tab.
Ensure Desktop Area is set to at least 1024 x 768 pixels.
Note: If available, press Test button. If screen appears blank, it will return to normal in 5 to 15 seconds. You will need to contact your computer vendor/manufacturer for assistance in changing the resolution setting.
Push OK button.
Note: You may be prompted to re-boot your computer. Push OK button to restart your computer.
On a Mac Machine:
Apple Menu > Control Panels. You will either have option (1) Monitors & Sound or (2) Monitors.
(1) If option is Monitors & Sound:
Open Monitor icon.
From list of available resolutions, select at least 1024 x 768. Your screen resolution will change instantly.
Close Monitors and Sound window.
(2) If option is Monitors:
Ensure that Show pull-down menu option is set to Recommended.
From list of available resolutions, select resolution you wish to use. Your screen resolution will change instantly.
Close the Monitors window.
